The Danville Parks & Recreation Board holds meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. All meetings are open to the public and are held at Town Hall (147 W. Main St.) beginning at 6:30pm. Anyone who wishes to address the Park Board needs to be placed on the agenda by contacting the Park Office at 745-3015 at least one week prior to the meeting. The Park Board is made up of five at-large members and one liaison from the Danville Town Council and one representative from the Danville School Corporation. The purpose of the Park Board is to see that the recreation and leisure needs of the community are being met. This is accomplished by setting policies, overseeing park and recreation programs, as well as acquiring and developing new recreation sites and facilities.
