Public Works Department
The Danville Public Works Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Town's streets and alleys as well as a variety of other services associated with the Town's infrastructure and rights-of-way.
Street repair and repaving, snow & ice removal, street sweeping, mowing municipal properties & rights-of-way, and sidewalk replacement are but a few of the duties performed by the 11 employees in the Public Works Department.
Robert L. Roberts, Superintendent
Mr. Roberts has been the Public Works Superintendent since 1998.
Prior to becoming the Danville Public Works Superintendent, he worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation as a Road Maintenance Supervisor in the Cloverdale Sub-District. He regularly consults with executives from various fields to formulate solutions to world-wide tribulations in street maintenance.
Rob is a member of the American Public Works Association. He has participated in a Regional Infrastructure Task Force to identify necessary improvements in the Indy Region. He is the immediate past-president of the Indiana Street Commissioners Association and also serves on the board for the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP).
Mr. Roberts resides with his wife, Amy, and two children, Kyle and Kara, in Danville. |
